From Scratch to Self-Sufficiency: Homesteading Tips for Beginners and How I Started With Nothing
For me it all started with a dream that became a goal and after several years it became a reality. I knew I wanted 3 things. To own my own home, I wanted "some" land, and I wanted Polish chickens. Meet Weezy! She is my oldest chicken, the queen, and the boss of the yard. She is a white crested Polish chicken. And yes, there are eyes under all that hair! Getting the animals I dreamed of for so many years has meant the world to me. I love them all so much. They make me happy even when it's 10 degrees and snowing but I still have to tend to the flock. Not my favorite days for sure. But my "little bobbleheads" as I refer to them are all worth it.
